Why do you want to punish him? Are you now stuck with his work or do you have to work an extra shift? Are you the supervisor?

If you are the supervisor, make this guy take a vacation day instead of emergency time. (That is, if you are allowed to do this within the law). He may think twice before doing this again.

The next time he wants a favor from you, your response could be "no." And, tell him why.

Otherwise, just write this one off. You can call off sick one nice warm sunny day with the stomach flu.

Let him remember it for weeks. You can start by putting fake snow in his desk drawers and on top of his desk. Perhaps taping a sand shovel to his car would help. Small reminders daily or weekly in a nudge nudge type of way would defeat animosity and shed some good light on the topic. I think he/she would think twice about hosing you in the future!

Maybe he parked in a ditch and can't dig himself out. I would drive past his house during lunch and check it out. If he's lying call him out....

all of you are mean....maybe he wanted to stay home with kids/spouse on a snow day....who wants to drive in a snow-y mess anyway....you dont pay his bills especially his car deductible if he gets in a car wreck...its his decision to make if he wants to stay home or not, so respect his decision.
