Discimination is in the mind of people, not God's way of thinking.

Every nation and kingdom has it's laws that citizens must obey - why would you think that the Kingdom of God would be any different?

The reason that slavery is not okay today, is because when Jesus Christ died and rose again to conquer the grave for our sins; we were then no longer under the old laws that were given in the Old Testament. We are now saved by grace, it is a free gift. In the Old Testament all those laws had to be followed, because Jesus Christ had not come into the world yet.

It is not hate and intolerance against the person, an action is totally different. Being homosexual is a sin because it is the act of two men or two women having sexual relations with each other. It is not a life-style, it is a person's preference of sexual partner.

It is not OK to discriminate and promote hatred an intolerance against homosexuals, though I am 100% against homosexuality for reasons, logical and otherwise, I mentioned before answering a similar question.

Christians and Jews no longer sell their daughters into slavery.
During the time of the Bible, however, it was done frequently enough. But one must understand that bondage (slavery) was a normal way to pay off a large debt owed to someone. It was what we would call endenured servanthood.
Slavery in the Bible was allowed in order to pay a debt. It was NOT the slavery that we now think of from the Mid-1800's in North America.

And when the debt was paid, the servant was allowed to make a choice: his own life, or continuing to work for the man to whom he was once endebted.

The Bible doesn't "support" selling your daughter into slavery! You want to quote that verse for me if it does? And the Bible doesn't "promote hatred and intolerance against the homosexual population"! I'm a born again christian-A.K.A I'm "saved"-and I believe that gays should be allowed to get married and have the same job opportunities as straight people do! The problem that I have-and that the Bible has-with gays is this: WHAT THEY DO IN BED IS DOWNRIGHT DISGUSTING!!!!! They deserve the same "rights" as straight people do-the Bible makes this clear- but if they think that they can just hold hands and kiss each-other in public,AND EXPECT EVERYBODY TO VIEW THEM AS "NORMAL," THEY ARE DEAD WRONG!!!!!!!!! They are not normal, and they shouldn't be expected to be treated like that!! They should just keep their nasty life style to themselves instead of trying to make everyone "accept" them! CAUSE GUESS WHAT?! THAT AIN'T HAPPENING!!!

Where does the Bible support such a thing? Chapter and verse.

No it is not right to discriminate for any reason. God loves everyone equally. His son died for homosexuals as well as for everyone in the world. The Bible shows that Jesus spent most of his time ministering to the poor, outcasts, prostitutes, etc.

At the time, there were not a wide variety of jobs like we have today, you were either wealthy or you were poor. Selling a family member into slavery, got them fed and their family fed as well. God condones the actions because people had to eat... He did not command people to have slaves but, told them how to treat them properly. He never condoned chains and shackles and oppressive work. Today there is no need for slavery... its called "employment" now.

The Bible never supported it…But because of the state of fallen man and sin, God allows the freewill of man and woman. The word of God actually speaks out against slavery.

They have an agenda, the bible quotes are simply the rationalization they use for it.

You don't see a single one of them avoiding sitting where a menstruating woman has, or avoiding the alter of the lord if they don't have perfect vision, or avoiding biblically unsupported divorce.

Selective picking and choosing what they want out of the bible and ignoring what they don't want.
