confident-a large style of the Police Departments by the U. S. purely require a intense college and often times a 2 365 days AA or AS degree. criminal Justice and different levels are solid and supply you some large perception and counsel bearing on the regulation enforcement community. even though it is my opinion that having an English degree could be fairly an benefit over different levels. each and every city, county, state, and federal regulation enforcement company has there very own particular set of regulations, regulations, and tactics bearing on that distinctive company and/or jurisdiction. A key element in any efficient regulation enforcement occupation is the capacity for that individual to be waiting to speak the two orally and in writing. expert shows and right written correspondence is a key element in any progression in any regulation enforcement occupation.

Based upon my own knowledge....I can't see any law enforcement agency hiring a convicted felon based upon the federal laws that prohibit a convicted felon from having a firearm.

If you are convicted ONLY of a misdemeanor offense...as long as that offense doesn't involve crimes of violence or moral turpitude, you shouldn't have a problem.

Offenses committed as a minor or juvenile won't NORMALLY preclude you from consideration in law enforcement.

if you have a felony than no, no where in the US will you be able to become a police officer. Misdemeanors are on a case by case basis, and each law enforcement agency will consider them on a case by case basis.
