What's the difference between sorbet & sherbert? I've had both and they kinda taste the same....?

Sorbet is usually just pureed fruit and sweetener that's frozen, so it's almost always fat-free.

Sherbet is similar, but it has dairy in it, so it's creamier and it does have some fat (though still much less than ice cream).

Also, sorbet comes in tons of different flavors, while it seems sherbet only comes in the classic "rainbow," lemon, lime, orange, and raspberry.

First of all, the word is SHERBET, not SHERBERT. But it's a common spelling mistake, so don't feel too bad. ;) Anyway, sherbet traditionally is made with some milk or cream (but not as much as ice cream, of course), along with the fruit juice/fruit extract/etc. Sorbet -- or sorbetto when served in an Italian shop -- does not contain milk or dairy, just the fruit-related ingredients, sugar and perhaps water (I don't know if water is added or not). Sherbet and sorbet are both delicious!! :D

Sorbet is less sweet, more fruit and less cream.
Sherbert is the American cousin of the French Sorbet and was created as a lighter, healther alteritive to Ice Cream and Gelato. Unless it's super high quality is has little to no friut, loads of atificial coloring and lost of milk.

In Italy it's sorbetto.
