How can I get her to eat her wet food. She did great the first 2 days, but after that she does not seem to want it anymore. Ive even tried taking away her other food so she only has dry and she just crys all day and does not eat it. Ive even tried changing the we food flaver, but still its a no go. I have to give her a half of a pill every day and I just dont know how else I can get her to take it.

Easy fix for most..... get soft cat TREATS and stick the pill inside of them. This way you know the cat took the pill if she ate the treat. Cats like treats better than food anyhow! Atleast my fat cat ;)
Some treats fall apart when you stick a pill in them... usually even those you can mold back around the pills... for some reason the stick back together. They actually have cat treats out now that fit pills just for this reason, but I have found that they are way too hard to find in the store!
If treats don't work, try wrapping it in cheese or thin sliced deli ham.... eventually you will find something that entices your cat enough to take it.

Don't put her medicine in her food, you will never know if she actually took it. First, have the pill in your hand, open her mouth and place the pill as far back on her tongue as possible and she will have to swallow it. She may not like it but this is the only way to assure she is getting her medicine.
If you are still having problems your vet's office will be happy to demonstrate how to give a cat a pill.
As for the canned food she may be able to taste the medicine.

You shouldn't feed your cat wet food. It decays the teeth.
Purchase a pill popper from the vet or a pet store. It looks like a syringe w/o the needle. It's what the techs usually use when administering meds, how do I know this? I used to do it.
It's fast, and easy and the cat won't know whats going on. Get some yummy treats to give to him afterwards.
Good Luck

Hi there again Christina...most cats are clever and eat around their medication so it's best to pill them directly rather than mixing it into the food to ensure they get the full dosage as well.
Here's an instructional video on how to pill a cat which also includes how to use a pill syringe by Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine for Feline Health: http://www.felinevideos.vet.cornell.edu/pill_or_capsule/full_movie.shtml

I totally sympathize with you. I have five total cats. I got my kitten in November not knowing that he was half-sick from the store I bought him from. ALL FIVE of mine got very sick and I had to give them pills three times a day for two weeks! I was showed a trick from the vet to give them their pill. Open their mouth and push it to the back of their throat. Then hold their mouth closed and gently rub their neck until they swallow it. Make sure however that they have swallowed. I check in there after they seem to have done it. I had one who 'pretended' and then spit it out when i wasn't looking. But this method worked on all five of mine and they are all ages and sizes. Mine don't like the wet food either. Good luck!

it type of feels she does have a form of respiration an infection, the vet ought to provide her a medication noted as cefadroxil drops for micro organism. If she begins to get gunky eyes you'll get a gel from the vet or i exploit triple antibiotic. in case you would possibly want to wish to attempt some more thing inexpensive than taking her to a vet first (as long as she seems exceptionally healthy) get powdered moms milk, pedialite (non-flavored) and a diabetic syringe from the drugstore. Do one syringe finished of pedialite first then feed her 4 cases an afternoon as a lot as she will take consistent with sitting alongside with moist and dry food (separate) also upload finished milk to her menu as you wean her off of the moms milk, wait to wean her till she refuses it or eats common food on an familiar foundation. Being in a clean abode would also advert to the challenge yet she ought to a minimum of be eating some. wish this facilitates! strong success!
