thank you for the advice the other night. it helped. as per your question, me and my hubby hired a J.P who offered severel ceremony options, and it turned out well. we got married on the beach at sunset, how romantic !! take care !

We didn't each write our own vows to say to each other. But we did combine wording that we liked from several different ceremonies to create our vows, so they were semi-our own. We both were very glad we did so since they reflected how we felt about each other and personalized our vows for one another. We actually received some comments from our guests about them since they were traditional with a unique twist.

No, we used the traditional vows... I like that my husband and I said the same vows our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents said to each other.

We had our vows written for us by our Matron of Honor, who's an outstanding writer. She did an awesome job, everyone loved it. I'm not much of a creative writer myself, so I was glad to have her help out.

We didn't, but we weren't allowed to cause it was a Catholic ceremony. I like it when people write their own if they're GOOD. I don't want to listen to some cheesy speech, sappy poem, or something like that. I want it to be real.

My wife and I wrote our own. It wasn't as easy, but in the end we were happier with a more personal ceremony.
