My best friend did little picture frames on the table with her guests names in them and then they could take them home afterwords. It killed two birds with one stone (so to speak) and looked great.

The other thing I thought was really neat, were little wine bottles w/custom lables on them. You could even make your own labels and save $$.

Hi im getting married next year and was looking for something different but the thing is they are expensive but i suppose if you want to pay for them them they will be ideal for you. Some places have Lolly pops with the bride and grooms name on from chocolate chatter, They have pebbles as a favour with you bride and grooms names on then on the front have the guest names on and then you can use them as instead of placecards. another place does fortune cookies, hand creams in little tubs from sarah louise designs, If you get a bridal magazine they have loads of ideas and all the websites are in the back of the book. The magazine i got was Wedding Ideas.

At my wedding last summer we gave everyone a box of homemade chocolate candies that my mom makes (like the kind you get on valentines day) and on the head table and immediate family tables we put champagne glasses with our names and wedding date on them. The reason we didn't put them on every table is because at my cousins wedding they got personalized shot glasses, and at the end there were like 50+ that people didn't take! What a waste of money. If money is a problem i would go with food. Many people hold off on eating, and by the time they get to the reception they are hungry. Have a little snack waiting for em.

Hi,
We did picture frames....everyone loved it...we got married at noon then headed to the studio took them right away...photographer printed them all off I had 333 people at my wedding, we did frame per couple, asked 10 people to come to the studio and cut and stuff the frames while the brides party was busy still picture taking,,,the rest of the guests were at the Church still I had arranged a luncheon for them, Pictures were done, stuffed, put on tables by the time guest entered the hall for 5pm cocktails and we arrived at 6pm...it was great...everyone thought we had our pictures done weeks in advance not the day of!!!!

my sister did those poppers where the confetti shoots out... I have been to some that just gave the cake as the favor, My other sister had bags that had something made locally (Chicago items, Jays potato chips, Frango Mints, Lemon Heads) Mini bottles of champagne, matches, make your own chocolate suckers, candy bars with a cute poem on the wrapper.

At my wedding, I had custom-made frosted lollipops. They were good size, came in 2 colors (I got red ones and blue ones) and they were clear 2 1/2 (guessing) inch disk shapes. They had white frosting on one side that had a little bride and groom in 3D and I got to pick the color of their hair and it was so cute. Then it had our names and the date we were married. They each came with clear plastic wrappings and I personally tied bows around the bases of all of them. There were about 90 people at my wedding and I think every one of them told me how clever/neat/cute/unique my lollipops were. I still have some and they're adorable. If you are interested, email me and I'll find out where I got them from. Good luck and congratulations. :)

We're having the same problem actually. We have 70 favor boxes...nothing to put in them. We are leaning towards Jelly Bellys. If you're looking for any sort of food idea try a yahoo search, it's pretty easy to get things in bulk for a fair price.

I've been given seeds pressed into paper, the paper was cut in a heart shape and had the seeds embedded in it along with some dry rose petals etc, it was really pretty and I grew a plant from it after the wedding.

I would stay away from something that people have to keep around. Pretty bags of loose tea is a cool idea. Some loose teas have flowers in them.. which would look really pretty. Tea is something almost everyone drinks.. and it doesn't end up in a box in the attic, or in the garbage.

The big thing right now at most of my friends weddings is Coozies or Huggies or what ever you call them. Those foam things that you put around your drink to keep it cold. You have you names and wedding date put on them. They're actually pretty cheap. Like <$1 each if you buy in bulk. My cousin also did CD's of their favorite songs, and gave those out with a special wedding cover pic of them.

At my wedding we did koozies ( www.customkoozies.com ) and they matched the wedding colors and had our monogram on it with our names and date of our wedding. They were a hit!
I have also seen cookies that matched the theme (winter weddings=snowflake, fall weddings= pumpkins, summer weddings=beach balls, palm trees, etc be creative).
I have seen people do a powerpoint cd with pics of them growing up, when they met and with their fav music playing in the background, most of them also played this during the reception (w/ou the music turned up).
I have seen people have fudge or saltwater taffy or whatever your area is "known" for. I have seen people do bottles of wine with their own custom label.
It all depends on what your theme is, or what time of year it is! Email me and I could help you get some creative ideas going!
