How do Canadian prices for eating out, clothes, drinks in the pub etc... compare with those in the UK?

exchange at the moment is approx $2.35CAN to £1.00.

in general canada is cheaper. however whistler is expensive.

I'd say drinks will be about $5 on average

meals- say $5 for a hamburger or sandwich. about $40 per person at some of the fancy restaurants in the village, like Umberto's (very good food).

clothes- that's hard to say. clothes in whistler are mostly snowboarder type clothing billibong, north face, helly, etc. there are also a few designer clothes shops. Average prices for a hoodie is about $90. Jeans about $100. Whistler isn't really the place to be buying clothes, the prices are much higher than vancouver.

The lift ticket will cost you appx CDN$ 75 + food and drink etc in a fairy reasonable outlet should set you back for another $60 for the day.
