I had a prescription, but a friend of my husband got into our medicine chest and stole the bottle. It's not due for a refill for another 5 days, but I need it. Could I get pharmancy to refill it?

Usually if it's only 5 days early the pharmacy will fill it, especially if you explain the situation. It depends more, on what type of insurance that you have. My insurance will allow me to fill my prescriptions up to 5 days before they run out, but no earlier. Some insurance companies only allow 3 days. You just have to ask, call the pharmacy first before you go, to find out. You insurance company would also be able to tell you, too.

no longer if there are refills on the prescription. And whether this is a controlled drug, there are legal limits of the style of refills so this would possibly no longer pass on very long. If the pal has diverse scripts from distinctive docs for a similar controlled drugs and the drugstore did no longer check out it, you may notify the State board of Pharmacy. Pharmacies are meant to %. up on extra prescribing. yet as for a lawsuit, no you may not get loose funds this form, because of the fact human beings have such distinctive soreness thresholds.

Just call and explain. Most pharmacies will refill the prescription up to a week before it ends without any problems. They won't give you any problems. These things do happen.

That in most states it's illegal for them to do so. Never keep controlled substance drugs in a place that people can prowl freely. Hide them away in a room that's not easy to be in without causing suspicion. your bedroom is a good place,if you have kid's it's the best place, high up and out of sight! The only exception would be a "as needed" on the bottle like pain pills with a re-fill order, but if its only been a few days since the meds we filled, then they won't. Take care. SW RNP

Call them and explain. Be nice. You catch more bees with honey than vinegar.
