It's a different situation entirely. The mexicans can walz right across the border for their invasion. We don't have that luxury, and we are not at war with Mexico. Education is much better than ignorance.

True, the Mexican Army would run like Frenchmen, but the Drug Lords might put up a scrap. After all, they've got something important to fight for.
