that is the funniest question i have ever read. just be true to your feelings and to him/her! there isn't an expiry date on a relationship just for the sake of being cool! that would be shallow...

Boyfriends aren't fashion accessories. You don't have a boyfriend to be "cool". You should have a boyfriend because you like him and enjoy his company. You should be together as long as you are both happy in the relationship.
Also, being without a boyfriend doesn't make you a loser. When I was in my mid-twenties I got fed up with bad relationships. I decided I didn't want to settle for just OK anymore so I stopped dating ON PURPOSE and waited for someone special. I was happier alone than with the wrong guys. A year later I met my husband.
Stop trying to be "cool" and learn what true love is.
