i just recieved custody of my son on all weekends till the custody hearing in april and he is living with is father in advance nc and i dont know what school he is enrolled in so i can see him and to speak to his guidance teacher

talk to your ex. if that doesn't work then just ask your son. your ex is aware of all paperwork-or should be.
if your ex gives you any issues, you might want to tell him prior to speaking with him you are taping the conversation. that way if he does give you issues, you can give the info to your lawyer. it will show that he is not adhering to the court.
try not to make a big deal out of it however- the court can look at you in "violation". i know it's tough, just maintain an even keel.

Sounds like you need to go back to your attorney if the father will not furnish that info. The problem being that since you had no custody for a period of time, you may not be mentioned in his school paperwork if he started school during that time. If you had a previous record of having taken or attempted to take him against court ruling, good luck!

Well if there are court papers ask the father where the school is if he refuses go to your lawyer,or go online find the state the city and the school that has the grade your son is in and I'm shure you will find out the name of the school.Good luck!

That's the same ploy used by every parent who intends to violate the court order and abscond with the child.
You need to establish with the court that you are entitled to know where your child is going to school and whether you're allowed to contact the school directly.

Contact the school district office in the town-they should be able to tell you where he is enrolled.

Is there a reason why you don't know where your child is going to school? If you get to see him on weekends then ASK him when you see him next. If your ex is refusing your visitation then you need an attorney and you need to fight it.

and why dont you have him???????????? if the father wants you to know then he will tell you. i have custody of my children (live with me) and i never tell the spern donors anything about my kids.
