I have gotten a lot of work from the same guy. I know that he gives me great deals, and great work. I always drop an extra 20 bucks when I pay him. We have become friends, and he never mentions it either way, nor has he ever ask for a tip.

I always tip the tattoo artist, it depends on the cost of the tattoo but I tip at least 20%.

Once the tattoo is done, look back at the process from start to finish. Tip what you think is fair for the quality of the work, the professionalism and helpfulness of the artist and whether or not you think they earned it. Generally, tips are around 15% but that can vary greatly. Do what you feel is right.

I have three tattoos and I didnt tip anyone! I feel that the money is going into there pocket and it already cost alot so why bother? But to give you a sugessstion on what to give them...I would say 50 or if it is the best work ever maybe 60, 70 bucks will do.

if the artist did a great job and was nice and everything tip him 40$

if the artist didnt' do that good of a tattoo, but they tried and was really nice then tip like 20ish$

if the artist was mean but did a great job, tip 20ish$

if the tattoo sucked and the artist was mean tip 10$

wait to decide until after the tattoo is done. If it sucks, don't tip at all! (not that it's going to suck :) lol). What I'm trying to say is that you should tip based on how good the service was! If it was great, go with $40, if not so great, maybe $10 or $15

it's really up to you. if it were me... i'd probably tip 20-40 on a $200 tattoo.

Always tip your artist...they only get a percentage of the tattoo price. Tipping lets them know you appreciate their work. Frequent customers that tip well usually get freebie "extras" added on to future art.

I don't tip because it always made me feel uncomfortable. Instead, if I see something I know my artist would be interested in, I'll pick it for him. I also bake cookies for the shop and such.
