I know when Chris Ross brought in skulls from ECU to try to get a conviction on the boys featured in Dreams of Ada. So know it is not hard to to believe that the county court house is corrputed. Chris Ross was busted in another county but that has been tried to keep hush, hush. Those men where innocent of the crime of Debbie Carter. But high and might Pontotoc county wanted a conviction. This was a bad thing! Those men lost 10 years of their life locked up. Ada Police are just as bad. Some one call and say my husband is trying to kill me, they may come and they may not! Call and say that there is a bunch of boys smoking pot, within seconds they would be surrounded with every car on the lot, guns drawn, threat to beat them, if they don't lie down with hands behind them. Don't dare be out after11:00 P.M. You get arrassed for a tail light out, guess what ? There's no tail light out. Your car my be searched just because they can.SOUND LIKE YOUR TOWN?

telling you your tail light is out, when it isn't and your so upset that you don't think to look. There was some good Ada police , County Officers (most) back in the day, but those days are gone.!!!!!

The wants all of these people to go to drug court which could be a good thing. But they work hard at trying to catch anything I mean ANYTHING, working with snitches paying people to testify against one another. To get these people in drug court, back to prison. They pick certain ones out that they don't LIKE. and hound the crap out of them. Try to drain them of what money they have left. These people are trying have famlies and kids, they just don't give a break!! Ada System are not worthy

Absolutely not, but I did devote 21 years of my life to that police department so I am biased.
Are all cops perfect, no way! Are some agencies screwed up, no doubt! Are there dedicated men and women on every agency who try their best to do a job, sure.
If you live where there is corrupt law enforcement, report their butts. Call the FBI and get some help. The FBI did a huge investigation into the New Orleans PD prior to Katrina and uncovered some incredibly corrupt cops.
Regular honest cops HATE corrupt cops because they make all cops look bad. It's kind of like when your family member does something embarassing and you wanna choke them.
If you're being stopped for a taillight being out, guess what? It is still against the law. I have had everything from felony drug arrests to warrant arrests for taillight violations.
If you don't wanna get stopped, obey the law, get all your cars in good running order.
I won't apologize for cops doing their job correctly even if it doesn't meet your standards, but I do say nail the bad ones who make us all look bad.
