I wouldnt go as far as to say "insane" but it does lead to the danger of trusting the book more than the Author.

You are missing something very important and it is faith. let me tell you something. The bible is around 3500- 4000 years old. Columbus discovered the earth to be round on October 12. 1492, till then men thought that the world was flat, but God was saying in the book of Job which by the way is the oldest book in the bible that he was sitting in the circle of the earth. And what is a circle if not round. So if God was saying this thousands of years before we learned that it was round, then I would say, it had to be that he created it. Also in the book of Job, God said that the earth was hanging on nothing which by the way is gravity, Men thought that the earth was I believe on the back of a giant turtle? Ok now God also said in the book of Job, that he was stretching the north over an empty place. And I heard that the scientist, have learned that there is a large empty spot or place in the North. So I would have to say that using a little commen sense, and reading all this for yourself, you would have to admit that God does exist and did in fact create all that is created.

I think it is insane to NOT believe every word of the Bible as flawless and accurate.
However, many people take Biblical passages out of Context, this comes from ignorance and lack of Bibilcal knowldege and lack of Holy Spirit lead guidance.
And You said (Brushed up on logic) you actually just verified a scripture with that statement.
1st Cor. 2:14 For the natural man cannot understand the things that are of the Spirit of God (Meaning the Bible) for it is foolishness to him, nor can he know them for they are spiritually discerened.
And yes, they do line up with the real historical facts and not the fabricated ones placed into library's by far-left leaning liberals, to deliberatly destroy the Bibles accuracy with psuedo secular fabrications.
And if you are offended by this, that just prooves my point.
And if anyone is offended by this, I will be offended by them being offended, how dare they be offended by the truth, and it is the truth wether they choose to accept it or not, refusal to accept it is ludicrous, and in no way deminishes the facts. period. accept it.

I believe every story in the Bible is honest and based on an original truth. I believe the Bible is just what it presents itself to be:
It is a genealogy of the Jewish Blood line from Adam to Jesus.
My family genealogy was based on one of my Uncles interviewing my Grandparents and great uncles and great aunts. I believe they were all honest in passing on the stories about our family tree.
The creation story in the Bible is so amazingly perceptive (6 stages of making a planet inhabitable) , I feel confident it was originally provided by "God" or at least someone from a planet billions of years more advance than us; scientifically, technologically, and of course evolutionarily. (Hint: The Universe is 13.7 billion years old, the Earth is 4.5 billion years old. Do the math: Some other planet could have formed 9 billion years before the Earth)

I don't know that it is insane, it certainly misses out on the fact that there are inconsistencies and omissions from the Bible. The Bible itself has contradictions and mentions missing texts, however, on the whole it does contain Gods word to the ancient prophets and is well worth becoming familiar with.

Yes. Specifically it is psychotic. To quote from Wikipedia:
Psychosis is a generic psychiatric term for a mental state in which thought and perception are severely impaired. Persons experiencing a psychotic episode may ... hold delusional beliefs (e.g., grandiose ... delusions), ... and exhibit disorganized thinking (see thought disorder). ... A psychotic episode is often described as involving a "loss of contact with reality".

nobody said that the parables are literal historical facts, they are just that... parables....
the Book of Acts though is (I believe) a historical account of that particular period of time.... read through it sometime & read other historical accounts of other historians for that era.

The bible is a concoction of stories handed down thru the centuries by a group of nomadic sheep herders and camel jockies who needed something to take their mind away from the over powering smell of sheep and camel dung.
The Koran, likewise, is another fable to keep the young boys from making love to the sheep
Karl Marx said it best "religion is the opium of the masses"

You obviously do not believe in God. If you do not know who you are or where you are going and are lost then you are out of touch with reality who is God. Now thats insane!
