We had a light snow on Sunday night which melted slowly throughout the day and what was left refroze last night.. There is now a thin layer of uneven ice in the backyard and the green grass is showing through in the sunlight.

It looks like a field of green snowcones.

No Jim, I'm saying that if you look at things at just the right time (or you are extremely patient like Ansel Adams) you can see the most amazing things

I didn't get a pic and now the sun has gone back behind some clouds - hopefully it will pop out again..

Are you saying that nature came through your backyard and just "magically" made a thin layer of snow a thin layer of ice? I suppose that if we add heat to a pot of water it will "magically" become steam?

Whats next, that "magically" given millions of years a monkey will become a human?

I think Ansel Adams had it right.

It really doesn't matter how it came to be, nature IS beautiful. We need to slow down and enjoy it more often.
