"Two husbands, still grieving, because a drunk ILLEGAL killed their wives!"
"Quezada-Garcia is in jail accused of leaving the scene of a fatal accident. As for the accident itself, prosecutors haven't charged him with a crime. There is no sidewalk on the stretch of road where the women were struck. And there is no evidence of drug or alcohol impairment. It's possible that within the next week or so, Quezada-Garcia will plead guilty to the leaving the scene, for which he could go to prison for about two years or receive credit for time served, get probation and be deported."
The article clearly states there was "no evidence of illicit drugs or alcohol" or "illegal" but both words were used in the original question.

i personally prefer the true . i do not think it is right to put up words in an article just to convince someone else , to me that its just being deceitful and not worth trust . i also agree that the article says nothing about he being undocumented , he could be someone with documents which will lose them because of what he did . i do not think that what he did was right and i think he should receive the sentence which he deserves . anti-immigrant live saying ( or typing ) that we the pro-legalization would defend any criminal and that its not the case , what they do is pure propaganda and just another Prof of they being not Worth trust as i said before . by the way being anti -legalization because of a person which would not be included on it just doesn't make ANY sense . it would make sense if that kind of people would be included but they WON'T BE INCLUDED .

The guy was in the country illegally and if he was not committing that one crime 2 women would still be alive. Guilty of MURDER because they ladies were killed while he was in the act of a crime. I understand he did not mean to hurt them but when a bank robber runs over someone in his get away car while running from the scene he also did not mean to hurt someone. It is about being accountable for ones actions.

I guess the deported part made it seem like he was illegal, since I don't think leaving the scene itself is a deportable offence for those legally here (I know minor drug crimes and some other crimes are not.)
I don't know about drunk/not drunk.

Another bleeding heart? I hope you can sleep at night knowing illegals kill more of our kids than the war in Iraq? You must be one of those special princesses that dont see the real world? In America if you leave the scene your breaking the law,if it were a legal resident they would get the same treatment as if they were illegal.I dont give a **** if hes legal or not he broke the law,and God will deal with his crime,I hope he can live with killing two people,I know I couldnt.

I prefer links. Many people say misleading things in their questions. Or they may leave out parts of the article. Thats why I prefer to read things myself to get the whole story and determine what is a lie and what is the truth.

"The invasion is going very well General!!!"
"Yes Colonel,,very well. Call George and thank him for his support."
Ring,,ring,, "This is Napoleon Bush speaking,,,"
"The General wants to thank you for helping us invade the US."
"Well you tell the General that's okay. I have done my best to con the stupid American people and for the next year at least yaw shouldn't have much of a problem."
"Send as many people, arms, drugs and subversives over here that you can. In two years we will simply take over without firing a shot. Cool huh?"
And we thought Bush was stupid.

Why doesn't the article state how much time passed before they actually caught up with him? When he flee's any drugs are pitched or after a certain amount of time has passed he sober's up.
