my brother proposed to his gf on xmas. he's 18 and she's 15 and i want to be happy for him but i really don't like her. she's trying to ruin his life. wants him to stop working to spend all of his day with her. he only works 40hrs a week mon-thurs. he has friday saturday and sunday off. she's in school most of the day anyways. he makes really good money which will be a stable foundation for them to get married. should i just drop my grudge against her and be happy for him or do i have the right to feel the way i do?

i'm pretty sure there's a law somewhere. i dunno i was over 18 both times i was engaged. glad it didn't go through though. i told him she's gonna use him for all he's got. i mean she doesn't even like me hanging out with him cuz i'm a girl. i'm his ******** older sister. i mean i want the best for my brother and i know she's not the best he can do.

i have talked to him. i brought up that they fight alot and don't seem to have a good relationship. he told me he's just in it for the sex and he'll dump her when he finds someone else. then he started working and i think he stopped looking for other girls. i think he's just afraid of being alone and he knows she'll stay with him cuz she's young. i feel he's only engaged to her for the fear of loneliness. my brother and i talk about it fairly regularly but it's all over phone cuz i live on the other side of the state.

oh and her parents sent her to live with her aunt and uncle because they didn't want her. so technically she's a family orphan.

Wow, your brother must really be into her..at 15 i just started dating and didn't Even thin about marriage!Shes probably very immature and doesn't know exactly wants she wants. She sounds selfish and if he stops working who is gonna feed her butt? You brother seriously needs to use his head more and open his eyes. I can imagine what your feeling, feeling hopeless because you want the best for your sibling.The only thing I suggest to do is to talk with your brother and tell him your point of view. Perhaps he will say its his life and he knows what he is doing but at least if in the future if everything gets worse you wont feel bad because you made your attempt. Besides he is old enough to make decisions. If he cant seem to understand, this mistake should make him twice next time.What do the girls parents say, they are OK with it? It is illegal because she is under age.

Not sure what he sees in a 15yr old girl that clearly sounds like she wants a free ride in this world.......I feel sorry for your brother* He for some reason just doesn't see it* Other than it being wrong as she's only a child and he's an adult now at 18* he can be charged with rape etc* if her parents want to cuz she's a minor* , and very few places will marry them because of the age * She may Trap him and get pregnant* then he's in a whole lot of trouble* I would search that in your state and show him it's True* goodluck*

Is your brother drinking like Ensure (weight gainer/meal replacement for older people) that he have these adult thoughs, including his fiance. I am sorry are we talkign here about 18 y o proposing to 15 y o. Do she even know what is it all about? WTF? You cant possibly be from the States, because its some underage illegal shyt unless you live in a middle of nowhere in some silent hill where noone gives a ****. I mean thats just outrages. Where the parents at? Do they give a ****? You seem to be the only one who is sane in the house?

You're giving a 15 year old girl way too much power if you think she can run his life - is your brother really thick? You don't have to feel anything for him. She's illegal and he shouldn't be dating her. I doubt very much if this will last, and if so, your brother has a big problem if a 15 year old is his fiance.

Leave it alone... he loves her . U may 1 day learn to love her too. He made his bed if it doesn't work then it doesn't work.Look at it like u r gaining a new sister not someone who will hurt him. She loves him too don't ever forget that. They r young love & hopefully they will grow old together. If u wait 4 miss perfect 4 your brother it will not happen .B happy 4 them....

You should go and talk to him it's easier for you to just tell him now then have the sudden outburst later!! Besides I knew a couple that was fifteen they were engaged in high school. Well that didn't too well!!Too early and divorced you could say!!

i think it sounds like your brother knows how to handle this chick if he still has his job, and a good one at that. shes only 15 shes immature give her some time before you expect her to be more sensible, remember last year she was 14

wow thats young!! its okay for you to have those feelings and you want the best for him because he is your brother-- sometimes guys are dumb! well so are girls -- they think with their hearts instead of their heads-- maybe u should talk to him and let him no what u feel about their relationship tell him that u are happy for him but this is what u think of his girlfriend
