The only thing i can say is respect. she is your mom try to remember that. Every parent is different, but i believe one thing they all want the same for us. Timeing is'nt always going to be the way we want it to. That's the part of growing up that hurts the most. We have to do things that we don't want to. remember lifes not all about you. Compasion, and being considerate of others will be more rewarding in the long run. You get out of people what you put into people. That really goes for every thing we do in life. If you throw something up it must come down it's the law of gravity. THINK of this...............

Well, since I'm an adult, I'd tell my mom that she must have mistaken me for someone that still lives at home...
but all kidding aside...I get the impression that you're younger than 18...and I also get the impression that whatever it is you're in the middle of is probably something your mother would be appaled at you doing or else you'd simply ask your mom if you can finish doing whatever it is you're doing...right?

Assuming your under the age of 18 and you live at home, then you drop anything and everything you are doing and go home right then. It's just that simple.

Well it all depends on the "Middle of Something" but if I answered her call than the something was not so critical and I suppose it can be dropped to go help mom out.

Depends on why she was calling, what I was doing and how close I was to being done.
If she called because of an emergency, then yes, I'd go. Other than that, I'd take my time, finish up and then eventually make it home.

This happened to me...I did the only decent right thing there is to do ..... went home immediately. My parents have always been there for me and have come for me when I needed them, I never thought there was any other answer...I still don't think there is.

Well, it wouldn't be my mom calling me, but if someone called me from my family and said come home I would in a heartbeat. I would do anything for my family.

Depends on what I was doing. If it was bad I would go home, but if it was not bad at all I would finish what I was doing then go home.
