-Dry mouth/throat (Feels like theres something in my throat, kind of like when you are sick and you got mucus there, only not as much. A lumpish feeling. This also gives him a thirst)

- Mouth feels kind of sticky/dry (Which is hard to explain)

- Cold feeling when I breath in (Not like shortness of breath, its just that when I take a deep breath, my throath/mouth feels cold)

- Same cold feeling in chest (Like the kind of feeling you get when you worked out too hard. Its mild, really, and not as severa, but thats the best way to describe it)

I dont feel weak, which is normal with a flu, nor do I have a runny nose or a sore throat. I went to the doctor last week for something else, unrelated to this, I got my bloodwork , it came back normal (Jan. 17th) I had previously had symptoms of anxiety, with the need to take in deep breath's, normal ones associated with anxiety. I am currently taking ortho tricyclen , daily. I started on Thursday the 18th.(continued)

(continued) The following Friday, the 19th, I vomited due to having taking a vitamin without eating (Stupid me) Other than that, I have been given a clean bill of health. I am thinking of going to the doctor again to have this checked, in case it is something. Thanks!

the dry mouth could be a side effect of the meds you are taking ask your pharmacy, for a print out on your meds, it will list important information on the side effects and the interactions with other drugs or foods. the feelings of cold in your chest sounds like it could be your lungs, maybe a congestion problem. but to be on the safe side i agree that you should consult your doctor. hope you feel better soon!!

More than likely it's not serious, since you just had a "work-up" with a Doctor and you reported all the blood work normal etc. This to me does sound like typical "anxiety and stress" reactions, and can be hard to sort out. That's a big deal if it's interfering with your daily activities, like work & sleep or school etc. Do you drink lots of caffeine drinks,or take allot of nutritional or vitamin supplements ? If so try cutting back,if you eat healthy, you don't need them, most are a waste of money. Many of those have ingredients in them that can cause caffeine type reactions. If all else fails ask your MD for a mild anti-anxiety medication,to get this sorted out. Take care. SW RNP

It is possible that you may have side efects from your oral contraceptive. Serious as well as minor side effects have been reported with the use of oral contraceptives. Serious risks, which can be life threatening, include blood clots, stroke and heart attacks, and are increased if you smoke cigarettes. Cigarette smoking increases the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects, especially if you are over 35. Women who use oral contraceptives are strongly advised not to smoke. Some women should not use the Pill, including women who have blood clots, certain cancers, a history of heart attack or stroke, as well as those who are or may be pregnant. Most of the side effects of ortho tricyclen are not dangerous and do not last very long. Some of the ortho tricyclen side effects include: nausea, vomiting, bleeding between menstrual periods, breast tenderness, or weight change. However, as with the side effects of all drug prescriptions, if you consider that ortho tricyclen is causing side effects and if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. Also, if you experience persistent or recurrent abnormal vaginal bleeding, a missed menstrual period, dizziness or fainting, swelling of fingers or ankles, headache, or difficulty wearing contact lenses contact your doctor. Some ortho tricyclen side effects that can appear if you are a smoker include an increased risk of stroke, heart attack, blood clots, high blood pressure, or other diseases of the heart and blood vessels. If you have vomiting or diarrhea for any reason, the ortho tricyclen may not work as well. Taking certain drug prescriptions while you are using ortho tricyclen may decrease the effectiveness of ortho tricyclen. Some drug prescriptions may also interact with ortho tricyclen causing other ortho tricyclen side effects. Always let your doctor or pharmacist know about all of the prescriptions you are taking.
In all cases when more detailed information is required you would be advised to contact your doctor.
Hope this helps

I suggest staying away from vitamins. They are a complete waste of money. As long as you eat fairly normal (like a donut once a week isn't fairly normal) you don't need extra vitamins. That's why you threw up....it was too much for your system and it needed to expel the extra vitamins it cannot absorb.

Sounds to me you have an allergy. I get that feeling in the back of my throat so I take an allergy pill with a decongestant. Clears it right up. Also, try gargling with warm salt water.
