I just hate the "yuck mouth" taste when I wake up, but I hate to eat with freshly brushed teeth as well. All of my food ends up tasting like toothpaste. And we all know how oj tastes after brushing- ewww. Any solutions?

I worked part-time in an oral surgeons office years ago. One of the doctors there used to recommend to the patients that you brush before breakfast with just plain water, just to freshen the mouth.

After you eat, you brush with toothpaste, and floss of course. This does work well, it takes away most of the "morning mouth," without leaving the weird mix of flavors that occurs with the toothpaste aftertaste. Hope this helps. Have a good day.

Before.

Doesn't make sense really but I eat after I get to work in the morning.

I don't usually leave the house without brushing my teeth.

If you eat something like bread or any food really the OJ doesn't taste bad.

Although they are making fruity toothpastes maybe that will help.

I take a small swig of mouth wash to ease the "yuck mouth". Then I eat breakfast. Then I brush my teeth. Breakfast tastes much better that way.

Well sometimes I drink some milk and then eat and then brush after breakfast. However, if you wish to brush before, just wait for a bit and after brushing.

When I wake up I normally gargle some fresh water! Then it gets me by till after I eat then I brush my teeth and go about my day. I try also to brush after lunch and of course dinner! Because plaque can show up in about three hours. If you brush your teeth in the moring then go allllllll day to after dinner whats the point?
try that if it doesn't work.. Try, try, again!

I have to brush my teeth when I get up, I have a cup of coffee and later on breakfast, have water to remove the excess food particles, floss (maybe) and if necessary mouthwash or a stick of gum to freshen up. About mid morning (an hour or so), I have glass of juice to curb my appetite before lunch.

Brush first thing in the am (and wait to eat breakfast for about an hour), after lunch and again before bed.

Brush before you eat with baking soda and then with the toothpaste after you have eaten.

I brush afterwards.

I wait to eat til I get to work so I don't really notice the toothpaste taste anymore. I guess it's long enough in between to go away.
