what this pathetic example of security in the post 9/11 world shows us is that over at the pentagon, it's still business as usual.

i'm really confused by america's intelligence and defense services - if 9/11 wasn't enough to wake them up i just don't know what will.

to call this an understandable accident is just another way that outright failure is being politicized in america these days.

our politicians would rather redefine what failure means than to actually stop failing...

Military goods, sold at auction, were purchased due to a loophole in terms by which foreign nationals can purchase sensitive equipment. These goods were caught by savvy Customs agents and returned, only to be sold again, Customs tags attached, to other individuals. Customs agents can only be in so many places and inspect so many things.

You might as well ask, "How do illegal weapons get sold to people in gangs in America?" The police can only do so much. Criminals will find a way.

They sold them to approved buyers who then re-sold them to the Chinese and Iran.
