Guys, give me your views. When you do not show any possessiveness, is it becoz u don't care much (as in, don't hv feelings for the girl and she is perhaps just a friend) or does it mean u like her too much to stop her from doing what she wants to do. When would a guy Not show a lil possessiveness?

I am not talking bout the kind of immature and crazy possessiveness. I mean a healthy one. A little. Just to show that his girl is his. Eg. If I hang out with a new guy friend, some questions are in order. I want him to ask. But when he doesn't ask any questions, it makes me wonder, if he even cares?

No, not in the least. If anything, it is a reflection of respect to you as your own person rather than bieng his "woman".

Some guys believe in equality between men and women. And for them this means that they should treat the woman the same way she treats them.
When a woman doesn't show any possessiveness towards the man, then he thinks that he shouldn't show any possessiveness towards her either.
Equality between men and women has been preached in the West for a long time. And many people are now confused about how to play their gender roles or whether it is even appropriate to play gender roles at all.
I'd say that you have to look at all aspects of the relationship in order to judge well whether the guy loves his girl or not. If you pick and choose certain aspects of the relationship and ignore everything else, then you are likely to make a mistake in your judgement of how the guy feels about his girl.

Even a guy that's been married a very long time and feels totally secure in the relationship would show some possessiveness in the right situation. I would doubt whether a guy was serious about his interest in a particular girl if he wasn't possessive at some point, although it is respectful to show that he has enough faith in the girl to not be tempted elsewhere.

NO. It just means that he is not that type of person. SOme guys are not possessive because they are very confident. There is nothing wrong with it.

I am not possessive at all. I think it is because I am very secure and I respect my wife as a person.

well it's meaning depends on the type of guy
if the guy is shy and doesnt talk much to girls, not showing any possesivness to a specific girl doesnt mean that he doesnt love her, it means he likes her so much
if the guy was sociable and easy to deal with, it is rare to find him having a feeling for a girl without you noticing it on his acts
so, first judge on the type of guy
