Yes! I would kill to be able to go to the gym over lunch! I sit on my #$% all day!! Take it slow though since it's been awhile; light weights and maybe 10-15 of cardio. Have fun!!

Yes -- but don't work out for the whole three hours. If it's been a long time, you won't be able to do as much as you could before you laid off.
My rules for working out are simple and fool-proof:
1 - Don't Drop Dead.
2 - Do A Little More Each Time.
3 - Keep Coming Back.
So going to the gym today fulfills rule #3 for you, but watch out for rule #1 -- plan on doing no more than 15-20 minutes of cardio and about 70% of whatever your weights were, or thereabouts. Otherwise you'll get so sore you won't be back for another few weeks...

Getting some exercise, whether inside or out, would be a great way to spend part of your break. You don't mention whether or not you've been active outside the gym. If it's been a while since you've exercised, don't overdo it. Start out easy, and work your way up to 15 minutes first, then keep going if you want.

Yes go. I just got back from a pilates class and feel great. If you haven't been for a while, today might just be the inspiration you need for a new regime of exercising.

Yes, you are getting pudgy and fat. You ate too much during the holidays and you are lazy. Get to the gym and quickly.
