God is a Republican, apparently.

Well really it can be said about Republicans too. Neither party stands for what they used to stand for. At the moment, Democrats are pro abortion, pro gay marriage... this is something Christians believe we cannot vote in favor of. Though generally, Republicans are not in favor of such things, they usually are in favor of no gun controll, the war in iraq, and big business. These things are also not something Christians should support since Jesus was against these as well. Both parties are equally for or against God.

I am a Christian and an independant, IF I vote (because I do have the right not to) the candidate will be the better representative of my faith.

Should Christians be involved in politics? John 6:15, John 15:19

I have no idea, because religion and political party should have nothing to do with each other, just as religion and government. Also, people should be voting based on party line, but based on the individual who most represents their morals, beliefs and vision, which may not always be one party. To not look at the individual is somewhat ignorant. There are great Christians in all parties, as there should be. In the end, I just kind of laugh it off and shake my head, but to each his own.

They resent anybody who is a liberal because liberals are open-minded about various things (gay rights, abortion, the right for all religions to express themselves, environmental protection, etc.); whereas, fundamental Christians want to believe that they are right, and that they are the ones who are led by Jesus to save the world. They often dismiss the liberals, regardless of what they do.

The current American President is a fine example of a godly man in action (NOT), so watch for all kinds of nonsense on this evening's State of the Union address -- much of which will be supported by Christian Republicans.

leaving the government parties out of it- I vote how my heart leads me- I cannot vote for anyone who allows the woman to have a choice to kill her unborn child- I cannot vote for someone who agrees in homosexual marriage. I cannot vote for someone who wants stem cell research to happen. I need to vote my conscience. God is the one I answer too, and if a democrat is against those I cannot vote for them- even some republicans are, and I would not vote for them either. This a personal thing, I cannot judge how other people vote.

Christians believe that America was founded on a Judeo-Christian ethic. The Dems generally stand for and condone things that are not considered Christian values. Like homosexuality, welfare entitlements, socialist communist ideals, and lots of other very un-American things, like the ACLU.

My answer is not to the question, but rather to Ms. Princess. You said: "but you have to pick the lesser of the two evils". This is the biggest brainwashing we have ever been exposed to. Do I have to. How about another alternative;... NEITHER.

Anyways, your answer, which I have heard so many times before, indicates something: One more flaw to be added to the Democratic system as applied in this country. Tks.

because from my opinion (and i dont think either political party is that great but you have to pick the lesser of the two evils) democrats believe in making abortions legal or give them federal money (my tax money which i dont agree with) and lesser gun laws. mainly taking up the stuff christians dont like.
