You can lose weight if you restricted yourself to only eating chocolate cake. Lets say you only eat 1500 calories worth in a day. That is somewhere around 12 to 14 ounces a day in cake. A pound is 16 ounces.

Now, this is not good for your health. Cake does not have all the nutrients your body needs. The sugar will play havoc with your blood sugar and will probably trigger cravings. However, the concept here is that if you limit your portions correctly, you can diet on any food and lose weight. Especially if you exercise.

What I would guard against is being too extreme in your diet. If you limit yourself too much you will really begin to crave other food. That will break you down and you will have an eating frenzy on your hands.

The Atkins diet is all meat, eggs, hard cheese and lettuce or other leafy greens and yes you lose a ton of weight but as soon as you eat anything back it comes.
The worst thing about that diet is your stinky breath.
It gives you the worst breath smell in the world.
Real body order. The diet I lost and stay on is the vegetarian diet you eat all you want of just vegetables. No grains and no junk food. You don't gain it back but a side line is you look better.
The Atkins made me look wrinkled and old. The vegetables made me look younger and healthier. I know every salad bar in this city. Just salads and ranch style dressing or olive oil dressing. Some 3 bean salad on top for a little protein or those garbozo beans and cheese. You lose a ton of weight and keep it off. Or buy those mixed salad greens all fixed in a bag and shredded cheese and a bottle of dressing and I have dinner.
Once in a while I open a can of beans and have a bowl of beans and a baked potato. You really lose on that.
Note:
When you make the salad use every vegetable on the bar from pickled beets to broccli. It is all good for you and low cal.

Losing weight is much more involved than fad diets. Eat protein, fewer carbs (bread and sugars) and exercise 30 minutes every day plus lift weights 2-3x a week and you will not only loose weight, you'll improve your overall body composition.

Skip the fad diets, it's hard on the system and they don't work anyway.

no - you will not - because your body needs also vitamins, minerals and a lot of other staff - so 1 day you will stop to eat only chicken and that is it!!
you have to have good program - I suggest - Cleanse program/ It is much better - loaded with nutrients and vitamins etc.etc.

yes but don't skip on nutrients. Take a multivitamin every day. Be careful b/c you don't want to skip on your health just to lose weight.
