The penalty may include having to refund all the funds given to you, plus interest, AND being charged with FRAUD, which gives rise to various penalties, pursuant to FEDERAL Law. Don't do it.

Listen the fafsa application is directly tied to your federal income tax return. They can verify this information with the irs. There is a statement on there if you provide false information you are subject to a big fine plus you will have to go to jail. And when you get out of jail you will have to repay the money plus interest, fines and other fees. Never try to mislead anyone on anything, you start lieing about this, the next thing noone will ever trust you because they do not have trust or faith in you. Always be honest, no matter what or how much it hurts. Honesty is something people will always respect you for.

Fines and jail time.....do not lie. One lie will turn into two and two into four. Soon you will not know what is the truth and your life will be a lie.
