In this passage, the term "sons of God" means the angels. These were fallen angels who fathered half angel/half human beings, called the Nephillim, with women.

God has One begotten (natural) Son, Jesus Christ (Psalm 2:7); He has untold millions of created sons, called angels (see, for example, Job 1:6, where they all gathered together, including Satan); and billions of saved Messianic Jews and gentiles, who are His adopted sons and daughters (John 1:12-13).

Contrary to popular belief, we are NOT all sons and daughters of God, as John 1:12-13 explains.

There has been much said about this verse and the ones around it.

One guy - and he had his own Bible translation - (can't recall his name) said it was angels (sons of God) and they bred with humans . . . and then he just made a bunch of crap up after that!

Most people believe that "sons of God" must have been a 'phrase' of the time that referred to Jews . . . and there is no mysterious meaning . . . the daughter of men would be "outside" of Jewish heritage . . . so it is a reference to marrying outside of the Jewish people . . . even they had children that became great (whatever that means . . .)

We are all his sons and daughters, but in reference to your scripture. If you look a little further in Genesis 6:4 it reads In those days and even afterward giants lived on the earth for whenever the sons of God had inercourse with human women they gave birth to children who became the heroes mentioned in legends of old.

Many but only one begotten. The sons of GOD is a common term used for heavenly beings or ex heavenly beings. We are also sons of GOD.
Mat 23:9 And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Many believe these were angels, some believe these were sons of Adam that came before the fall. God has many sons but only One Begotton Son

I think all males are referred to as sons of God. I'm not sure what it means. I doubt any god could have children in the way we think of it.

Note how the men are described as "sons of God" and the women are "daughters of men" or "wives", and valued for little more than their looks. God sure does prefer men, doesn't he?

God has no "begotten" children. However if you are looking at it from the Christian perspective they will tell you Jesus is the Son of God and God himself.

If you look at the Bible God has another son, David:

“I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. (Psalms 2:7 [NKJV]
