yes, the AIDS is still transmittable, even after death. even if the blood is drained, the body still carries the disease. avoiding contact with the body and any of its fluids is highly recommended.

Actually the Aids virus cannot exist in the outside atmosphere...so it needs to be inside a warm body permanently...dats y its not transmitted by any other way than sexually......so i guess if u die....they die off too in about a couple of hours...HIV viruses are surprisingly very weak.

Hello,
(ANS) My understanding of this is, that the HIV & Aids virus is actually remarkably vulnerable & it cannot easily exsist outside of the human body or living creature (infected host). Once the human being dies so does the virus die.
**The aim of the HIV AIDS virus is to replicate itself, & inorder to replicate itself it needs a living creature or a human being. Thats how its programmed to work, to pass itself onwards to another person or body.
**HIV AIDS can only exsist in a fluid as far as I understand it, thus no fluids no AIDS virus.

Yes, viruses work by hijacking host cells and making them produce more viruses. Once these cells stop being maintained and being fed (aka you die) They'll run out of energy and die but not right away.

Viruses need live cells to replicate in. When you are dead, as I'm sure you can imagine, so are your cells, therefore no virus. Although the virus will survive for a number of hours after death

well since HIV lives off host cells in your body once you die slowly all your cell die as well and the HIV virus wouldnt have anywhere to live, so im assuming it dies as well, but yes it is still in you, just not active

Of course it is.As a matter of fact corpses of people who died from an infectious disease are treated differently and with more care just not to spread viruses and bacteria away
