First off do many butt exercises and eat a high protein diet! -Squats and Lunges are the best to do -and to increase muscle mass you need to work down to low reps + heavy weights -i.e. four sets of each exercise: 8-10 reps, 6-8 reps, 4-6 reps and 2-4 reps. -working to failure on each set.
These will give you a big strong butt!
Also work on your adominals and obliques -check out http://www.dragondoor.com/ -the book "bullet proof abs" is the greatest abs book ever written! buy it and do it all.
You then need to cut your body fat down through aerobic exercise and a calorie controlled diet (but high protein), thereby removing body fat from your mid section/butt etc, thereby creating the slim waist.

You are talking about the perfect figure, slim waist and big behind.
What you are going to want to do is to lift and firm your butt. It will be round, firm and still juicy. A total leg workout, including butt firming leg exercises, along with an ab routine will hook you right on up. Do it at least 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day. Get plenty of sleep and eat a well balanced diet, i.e., lots of fruits and vegetables. Cut out the cokes, cookies, and snack cakes. You can maintain a big butt and still be healthy. You can do it! Put your mind to it and stay disciplined and you will see results.
When you do your legs, do your own body weight first until you feel comfortable with form and technique. Then you can add light weights. Squats, lunges, and leg lifts will do you right. When you do your abs, stick to crunches, side crunches, and leg lifts. It would be easier to demonstrate these exercises. I am sure you can find pictures and instructions.

Ellipticals are awesome!! You can but it on a setting that works the bum bum. Also try a stair stepper.
As for the slim waist=cardio!! Also try doing some crunches.. you can also try laying on your side and lifting your leg into the air. So ur legs make a > keep doing and switch sides. Always try and keep your core in (keep ur tummy muscles tight). Good luck!!

I hate to break it to you, but it really depends on your body shape. There are many excersices available for you to get flat abs and a toned behind, but it really depends on your shape - you can't be shaped like Cameron Diaz and suddenly start working out to look like Beyonce, you know? squats and lunges are great for the legs and glutes
you have to do some form of cardio exercise to burn the fat that is on your stomach - followed with ab exercises for the upper, lower and oblique muscles
