What is the best way to keep deli meat fresh?

I keep mine in the original wrapping, but still put it in a ziplock bag and throw it in the fridge on the top shelf. Squeeze all the air out of the ziplock as you're sealing it.

Mine lasts for a week or week and a half that way.

I seal it in a ziplock bag if I'm going to use it within a week. It also freezes very well if it's seal shut, and keeps longer that way.
