She is an illegal immigrant so she is scared of being deported.

The lawyer we got told us that most misdemeanors and some felonies are excused if we can prove that she is hard-working and pays taxes.

I don't know much about the US because I haven't been here that long. Is the lawyer telling us the right thing?

I hope she is deported! She is a criminal for being here and a criminal for stealing. How can she "prove that she is hard-working and pays taxes?" She doesn't pay taxes and obviously she isn't hard working since she is a crook that steals.

I think your lawyer is an idiot and just wants a fee.

Maybe the illegal immigrant that donated 20-40 million dollars to the ACLU could help your cousin out before the legal immigrant kills you both along with the 600 kids.

I hope she gets deported......And being a hard worker or a good mother gives no one the right to break our laws......

And illegals dont pay taxes unless they stoled someone's identity..

NOW HERE'S THE BIG ONE.....
THE SO CALLED LAWYER IS LIEING

If she is an illegal and got arrested for stealing she will probably get deported back to the country where she came from. Does not matter is she is a hard worker, she does not pay taxes because she has no identifying number such as a social security number. The only thing I can suggest to her is to start the legal proceeding to get admitted to the U.S. legally. Do not be surprised if she is deported.

LOL.....heck hard working and paying taxes doesn't get a citizen off why should it be less for someone here illegally? They are cracking down on illegals who commit further crimes. If deportation is the risk........why on Earth would someone be so stupid as to commit more crimes?

The lawyer is wrong. It doesn't matter what you did it will not be excused. She most likely will be deported. For future reference if you want to live in the US, obey the law. If I can't break the law neither can you.

If she could afford a lawyer? Then why didnt she become legal? Also your cousin is a prime example of why Americans are tired of crimminals.

She needs to serve jail time and then she needs to be deported for not coming over the correct way. Whatever she gets it serves her right. Thief.
