Honey, I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE! Did you know that Muhammad was actually an AVID believer in MANY of Jesus' teachings? Those who paint Muhammad as a rapist either are ignorant of or don't know their world history! I never use the term "Islamic retards,"! The real term for them is "terrorists"!. The crusades were just as bad as today's terrorists are! They slayed thousands of innocent people in the name of "God"! They claimed to be Christians just as today's terrorists claim to be "Muslims." They are NOT true Muslims! I only need to know my world history to know that! I'm SO sorry that some of my christian brothers and sisters are stereo-typing you guys! Cause they are DEAD WRONG!!!!

Point 1: The evil that exists on the streets of America is not there out of some crazed religious idea. It is there because people are basically evil in there very being.
Point 2: All of the funds terrorist receive come from "good" peace loving Muslims mostly in Saudi Arabia. People that have never committed any terrorist acts or murders.
Point 3: We just read in your Holy Book that you are to resist fight against and kill the infidel is enough to make us believe that your religion is based in murder.
Point 4: I don't care what people say about Muhammad. What matters it what he said and by denying that Jesus is God he shows himself to be a false prophet.
Point 5: No where in the Bible is a Christian commanded to commit murder.
Point 6: The Quaran teaches that Jesus is not God so it is a false religious book..
I am sorry that you have put your faith in a Man (prophet or not) and not God. I will continue to pray for all of you that the light and love of Jesus Christ, the God of all creation enters your hearts. Jim

It's easier to demonize an entire people if you forget your own past.
Certainly, not all Muslims are evil murderers. Not all Christians are evil murderers. Those are the ones who get the most press.
And look at the media. It's going to run with what sells. And violence sells!
When was the last time you saw a news story that said, "In other news, John Owens had an ordinary day at work"? It doesn't sell. Sometimes, a news agency will film a "human interest" piece where someone's dog is shaved in the shape of a Nike logo, but the truth is that conflict is where the money is at. Terrorist bombings (by Americans and non-Americans) are interesting.

that is your actuality: The Muslim international has no STD's. for this reason, lets condemn some thing else of the international. that is the way you seem: The Muslim international has no STD's, yet do exactly not bypass searching for the numerous cases we abuse human rights. that is powerful that the Dar Al Islam has no STD's. yet nonetheless, the West is way wealthier, far extra modern. Why no longer learn from one yet another? oh and btw, homosexuality has little to do with the STD's. Lesbians are the least probable human beings to get Aids, so by technique of your common sense we ought to continuously be promoting that and making heterosexuality unlawful. Wow various those replies are very ignorant of Islam, and the Ummah.

Because that is what they are constantly feed by the media. They don't have the Russians to fear anymore so Bush has to think of a new enemy to focus there attention on. Of course this is to divert there attention to what is going on in there own country, poverty, gun crimes, gang warfare, exploding prison populations, millions of Americans citizens living below the poverty line, no national health system. If you where president you would not want your citizens to be worrying about such trivial matters as your own back yard, would you?? No let them focus on a country thousands of miles who never posed any threat to you. Yeah that what Bush wants to spend billions of dollars on weapons and killing innocent citizens on both sides not America, don't be silly. Why would he want to do the job he was elected for? Where is the fun in that? Heck he cant even clean up New Orleans, where is the rush?

You're right. For example, many US cities have murder rates higher than Iraq's 2006 'Violent Death' rate. American murders have caused more deaths than Iraqi terrorists. I agree with you on that. But remember we're talking about two different things, murder and terrorism. People murder for many reasons, whether emotional or financial. People commit terrorism to make a point powerfully clear. When someone murders, there's something wrong with their personality. When someone commits terrorism, there's something wrong with the political or religious ideology that inspired them to do it.
2
Most Muslims aren't terrorists. Most Muslims being terrorists isn't the problem, because the vast majority of Muslims have never committed violence in their lives. I think the problem is most terrorists being Muslim. Even if you consider non-Muslim terrorists like ETA, the Tamil Tigers, or the IRA, you'll find the majority of terrorists are Muslim. Even a Muslim author, Abd Al Ruhhmaan Al Rusheed, admits this. http://www.worldpress.org/print_article.cfm?article_id=2060&dont=yes So of course I appreciate the fact that you're a peaceful person, but I think something needs to be done about terrorism being committed in the name of Islam. Five hundred years ago most terrorists were Christian. They killed non-Christians by the hundreds of thousands in the Crusades and Inquisition. Because something was done about Christian terrorism, it is now much rarer than it was in these days. Don't you think we need to apply the same changes to Islam? Don't you think the religion needs to lose its extremist elements?
3
You're right again. Hasty generalization is a common error and I understand why it angers you. I have nothing against you just because you're Muslim.
4
The Koran obviously isn't going to say anything negative about Muhammad. Nothing in Islamic literature, whether the Koran, Sonah, or Fiqah, says anything negative about Muhammad. But they do talk about things he did in his lifetime, bad and good, and we can judge him by these things.
5
You're right. The Bible, especially the Old Testament, has a lot of violent verses. But again, because changes have been applied to Christianity, it has lost most of its extremism. Many people leave Christianity for other religions. The Bible says apostates must be killed. Few or no Christians said, "Let's kill our apostates." The Christians have change their way of thinking. Some Christians will tell you these verses go back to the ancient world of the Old Testament, 3,000 years ago, and don't apply today. Other Christians will say By contrast, many Muslim scholars will tell you the sentence for apostasy is death, and ex-Muslims are killed in several areas of the world. Many Muslims will tell you Islamic law is one hundred percent perfect and applies to all places at all times. The problem is with the way many Muslims think; If we can change this for the better, we can have a better and more peaceful Islam.
6
You're right. If I were to read the Bible today, I'd be comfortable with the nonviolent verses, and uncomfortable with the violent ones. It's the same with the Koran. The difference, again, is that violent verses in the Bible haven't generally translated to violent actions by Christians for two centuries now. There's still Christian terrorism, but it's very low, because Christians have modernized their view about the Bible. I'm not talking about Christians who've become agnostics and atheists; I'm talking about believing practicing religious Christians who would never commit violence because the Bible asked them to, because they've changed their way of thinking for the better. Likewise, although most Muslims aren't terrorists, many Muslims believe it's all right to kill apostates and blasphemers under Islamic law, including some Muslims here. Isn't that something that can cause terrorism?
Conclusion: The Muslim way of thinking needs to change.

Well that's pretty simple really, a lot of people don't know the history of other religions or have forgotten it.
Likewise they don't seem to grasp that the "muslims" who are in the headlines have twisted their faith to suit their own agendas and are not true Muslims at all. Islam is a peaceful religion and the things that terrorists do in the name of Allah are not condoned by the true Muslim faith.

You are absolutely correct. It is stereotyping, something Americans in general are quite fond of.
It is apparently quite easy for a lot of Christians to ignore the violence in their own holy book and caused by their religion yet they are quick to point out others.
