There was a lot of anti-Jewish sentiment all over Europe from the time that Christianity became the predominant religion of Europe. It was just the way it was. There is a history that you can read by Simon Wiesenthol, about how this happened, and where a lot of the stereotypes came from.

Hitler had his early attempt at being an artist peed on (metaphorically) by a Jewish art critic. Mussolini may just have wanted to be popular with the gang, like Chavez.

He didn't, actually he was ambitious (and stupid to me) so he followed the one who had power in that moment: Hitler.
