i am 14 going out with a 24 yrs old m and i love him to death as he does me but every one keeps saying that he's nasty but he's not i mean we have been together almost a year and never had sex

OK,
I decided to wait for the inevitable flood of hate before I responded. These idiots talk about calling the cops because "he's probably a child molester." That makes absolutely no sense, since you have been going out for a year and haven't had sex.
He is obviously the type that is attracted to girls in their early teens, which actually isn't THAT rare and is not a pedophile.
Here is the problem: Is he still going to be interested in you once you get older?
You are not having sex, so I would say that it is NOT wrong. But why not just find someone your own age?

Hmmm probably a reason he cant get anyone his own age. Maybe he is nasty. You should listen to what other ppl are saying and do some serious reconsidering. It is not natural for a 24 yr old to be attracted to a 14 yr old. Plus, if you have to ask this kind of question on YA and not be able to think it through yourself then most likely you are too young tobe dating in the first place. A 24 yr old should be either in college or a career where as you should be worrying about HIGHSCHOOL and the approximatley 2 years you have left there. Who the hell knows what he is out doing while you are in school. Be careful gal, you are too young to know that guys are sneaky. VERY SNEAKY. SOunds to me like you are a small trophy for him on the side that he can brag to his buddies about.

For you, it's not wrong. For him, well....it's illegal. A 14 year old usually loves the idea of dating an older guy. When I was 14 I dated a 19 year old, I got a lot of comments about that. People don't love the idea because they wonder what man would be interested in a 14 year old. Not that 14 year olds can't be attractive, but there is such a difference as far as life experience. Why isn't he dating women his age? You miss out on so many of the high school experiences because of his age. You can't get them back.

to be honest you still young and you should see someone close age but by the time you 18 or 20 and you still feel for that man you love him to death then fine. right now he could go to jail for that. He knows what right and wrong and he need to leave you alone until you done in high school.
even if you and him haven't had sex but still your parents would press charges agaist him... I being honest here. really what if you in love with him 2 years later but you met other guy better and more fun... what if your feelings stop for him??? then what? You know I had one girl who reallllly in love with me she 14 I was 22 that time. Guess what I told her that you young there guys out there and who knows later on the future might be a chance for us but right now I wnat you enjoy your life as a kid. You will thanks me for that. smiling.
that last time I heard from her I am now 35 i married to a woman 34 and we been married for 9 years and 2 kids and 3rd due in march 2007... so I am glad being honest with her... Really, you not stupid or anything just need really undertand the law and how can happen if someone found out about this. Would your parents say ok you can date 24 year old??? no.. I won't let my kids do that. If my daughter told me and I would explain and stright up. Because I care and I love them so much...
You still a child. and you have whole alot future ahead of you... I do hope you think about it and making sure it a right decsion.

10 years age difference is not so bad once you are in your 20s or 30s. But when you are 14, it is a bad sign. Dear, I think this man is a sexual predator and you are much too young for a grown man like this. Do your parents allow this relationship?
For your own sake, avoid this man. Wait until you are 19 or 20 and if you still feel the same way about him, you and he can hook up then. However, I really doubt he will turn out to be who you think he is. A man who would "date" someone your age has issues.

the reason why people say he is nasty is because your still a child in everyones eyes and for a grown man to want to be wtih a child is sick and thats what it sounds like, if you at least were 18 years old the 10 year age gap wouldn;t have been as big a deal but since your like a child still honey is wrong. You know he can go to jail for this? Thats statiatory rape.... what does your parents say about this??? I cant believe they would allow you to go out with a guy thats so much older then you....maybe he should wait till you get older to want to have a relationship with but even thats sick... honestly i think it's sick... take care of yourself...

Okay now what i can say is Ewwww! Ure gross. You need some help! That's 10 years older than you. Maybe when you get older like is ure 40's that will seem okay but ure 14!! You may not understand it but it is actually illegal for a 24 year old man to date a 14 year old girl. I can understand why people are concerned. He could go to prison as a sex offender if the two of you do have sex.

Darlin my cousin had done the same thing only she was 15 and he was 28. In the end he rapped her, she got pregnant, and he dorpped off the map. Hun your to young to be in in a relationship like that. You may feel like you love him, and I'm not saying you don't. But what I am saying is he is 10 years older than you and you should just be hitting high school. If he truely loves you then he would be fine with being friends, and if you two still feel the same when you hit 18 then go for it. But if not the it wasn't ment to be.

I agree with the consensus on here. A 24-year-old man dating a 14-year-old girl? Very unnatural and I'd question his motives.
