Do you go after the white guys and they say no or is it you are wondering why white guys don't approach you? Honestly, I think society as a whole has tolerated the black guy/white girl issue, but you are right, you don't see a lot of white guy/black girl relationships in the spot light. To paraphrase the great Dr. King, it's not the color of the skin, but the content of the character. As a white guy, I have never dated a black female, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't if the right one came along. There are many things that go into a relationship and color isn't one of them(for me personally anyway). You know as well as I do that racism is still alive and well in America today. That goes for all races. How do your black friends react to your dating white guys? As sad as it is, I would have to say perception is the biggest problem. People still look at interracial relationships in a bad light. We are not (as a society) at the point where it is widely accepted. I know a lot of white guys that have or would date a black female if no one found out. I can also say the same for black males, white females, and black females I know. You wanted honesty so to answer your question, I do not believe it is a matter of attraction so much as it is a matter of societal acceptance. Email me if you would like to talk more about this.

As a white guy who has only ever been out with one white woman, I feel I can answer this one honestly.
Before I start though, this isn't myself I'm talking about, this is just what I've seen.
The thing is, it's not the women we find unattractive (though there are a few who are still confused about the whole black/slave thing - honestly), it's the men. There is a whole stigma about black guys, definitely where I live, that you are more likely to be robbed or mugged or burgled or whatever by a black man than you are by a white man. Whether or not this is true is irrelevant, that's what most white guys think. And because we are (more or less) forced to believe this, we also assume that black women are therefore guilty by assosiation. It's not that we think black women are criminals, but it's because we think black women, generically, have black male friends and we don't like to be in the situation wherein we are surrounded by black men.
Hope this didn't offend, it's just something I've noticed. Personally, I couldn't give a flying f*ck what the colour of your skin is, so long as you have enough money to get a round of drinks in.

hey. good question. i am a white guy from the south and as bad as it might sound i think that it is important. I don't know about guys up north but i know guys down here are more reluctant to date a black girl. I am sure it is partly because of the stereotype that alot of white men are not attracted to black women. But i also don't think it is just skin color. Black girls usually seem harder to get along with because they have so much attitude. I don't have a single white friend i know that has dated a black girl. So yes, the steroetypes are still around and it bothers white guys enough to not date a black girl. But the good news is that many people are attracted to others. I currently date an asian girl and she has never dated an asian man in her life, nor a black man. She just won't. Hope that helps.

I find the sisters to be quite attractive and intelligent, I would suppose the biggest drawback would have to be the feeling of having to fit in. I can't imagine it being any easier for a white person to fit into an African American family setting than it would be for a black person to fit into a typical Caucasian family setting.
But to be perfectly honest I really don't see it as a major issue perhaps its just the times you know.
:)
But do be weary of the novelty seeking white guy, you know the one who has never been with a black woman.

i am not a white man but i live in the country and used to live in the city. and i have heard that many white men are not attracted to white females because they think that yall dont shave under your arms and dont shave your legs. i am not being mean this is just what i heard from them and why they are not attracted to black females. and the other thing that i know is that they are raised that way so many white families really dont encourage interacial dating.
you see i am a puerto rican male and i am very in love with black women and i feel that yall are the most beautiful things on goods green earth.

Some guys are, some guys aren't, in the same way that some men like skinny girls and some men like bigger girls. Not all men will be attracted to every female, it's a certain spark or chemistry that you have that attracts a person to you, regardless of skin colour. I do not believe this has anything to do with skin colour, it's just a fact of life that not every man will fancy you, in the same way that you do not fancy every man.

It may just be that for some white guys it is too much out of their comfort zone to date a girl of another race. Someone who they feel is too different from them, even solely on the basis of darker skin, may cause them to not think about them in a romantic way. Stereotypically some people feel black girls are loud, combative and materialistic.

There is absolutely no way that you can offer an answer that is going to cover a stereotype as large as attraction between different races. All types of men find all types of women attractive and race may or may not be a factor.
Personally I find features (eyes, breasts, hair) as attractive features and race is not important. Other men will consider race the predominant thing they look for. There is no one answer.

I have dated a few black girls in my past. The problem I had with a couple of them was that they want to immerse me into the black culture and transform me into a black man with white skin.

Ever heard of Martin Luther King Jr?
And judging people individually?
Way to propagate more racism
I am not attracted to girls with red curly hair, because I think it is ugly. Maybe many people think dark skin is ugly.
