I'm doing the South Beach Diet with great results. I have three boys and my youngest just turned one. I have lost 18 pounds since November.

I also work out at the gym 3 days a week for 1 hour on my lunch break--nothing too strenuous--just cardio, some yoga/Pilates classes here and there, and lots of sit-ups. No weights at all.

I stay really active on the weekends too--we're a semi-athletic family that enjoys hitting a few balls around at the park together, going to the beach and boating or fishing, and lots of city events. We do our own yard work as a family and take lots of walks.

Sounds like supermom? Not really--I wish I could do more--I work from home and feel that 90% or more of my time on weekdays is confined to sitting in front of the computer. I can't walk flights of stairs to my office--my house is all one level.

Good Luck!

Might I suggest getting your kids involved if they are old enough. During the day, you all could go run around the block together, play more rigorous games outside just anything that could help keep you moving. If night time is your down time then maybe some basic crunches, sit-ups, push-ups and some dumb bells may help as well. You could always buy a DVD if you want to follow a specific regimen. Most experts would recommend doing a work out program at least 3 times a week for thirty minutes if you can manage that. I hope this helps.

I'm a stay at home mom w/ a 7yr old and a 1yr old. If you're just starting out, get some tae bo dvd's. They are awesome, my favs are the boot camp series and fat blasting cardio. There are tons of kickboxing dvd's out there(Jillian Micheals cardio kickbox...another fav that kicks my butt) that blast calories and because you can do them at home (since it can be hard to get a sitter to go to the gym) you can do them while they are napping. Also get a stability ball and a pair of weights (10 lbs. are good), you'll be surprised w/ what you can do w/ just that ball and some weights!! Hope this helps.

I have a 24 month old baby so it's tough for me. Then I came across an article which talks about permanent fat loss and the author has received lots of glowing testimonies.

I'm in the midst of implementing what he preaches.

Cut down on cleaning the kids' plates! Don't eat their left overs!!

Chase them throughout the house!

Or watch your carb intake in a day, write down what you eat, drink 64 oz of water in a day and exercise 1/2 hr every day or 1 hour ever other day.

I'm in your boat! I only have 1 kid though! =o)
Good Luck!

often, fasts are counterproductive. You lose as a lot muscle as fat, and many the load you lose is water, that you income all decrease back lower back very straight away. you want to really change the way you stay with the intention to get all the way down to the load you want. initially, eat smaller parts of the ingredients you're conscious of eating now, and take merely as lengthy to do it as you would possibly want to with a classic length element. also improve the quantity of exercising you do gradually - walk, take stairs instead of the elevator, experience a bike to artwork. keep operating up the exercising till you're turning out to be a strong hour of cardio exercising consistent with day. eat a lot less calorie dense ingredients (vegetables instead of meat, and so on.) it would want to take a pair of years to lose each and every of the load you want, yet once you do, you'd be residing in a fashion meaning that is way less probable you'll placed it decrease back on lower back. keep in innovations, you probably did not income one hundred kilos in one day, and also you'll't lose it in one day both. I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get rid of the kids and hit the gym! Surely you can get a babysitter or foist the kids off on a relative.

gosh it is hard. But I here where I live we have a gym that offers free child care. Maybe see if something like that is available depending on age. My are young 6 and 3 yrs. and it works for me. If yours are older try the YMCA!.. They will have fun and you will set a great example!
