Are Muslims on a path to self destruction?

During the last several years Muslims have committed several terrorist acts against the Western "infidels". However, their actions
against Westerners cannot even be compared to the devastation they have inflicted on their own people, mostly innocent.
Islam's Supreme Idiot, Al Zawihiri, the filthy ghost of death and destruction, encourages and justifies the killing of innocent Muslims.
Are their hatred and viciousness actually more directed at themselves?
Are they acknowledging the overwhelming failure of their culture?

In addition,for all hasty and jumper to the wrong conclusions, allow me to add the following:

1. Logic dictates that generalizing is always wrong. This is a problem with the question.

2. Some Muslim; fanatics who are mentally sick, have committed terrorist act, not all Muslim. Those people are hated among Muslims themselves. Do you have a survey that says anything to the contrary?

3. You said it yourself "cannot even be compared to the devastation they have inflicted on their own people, mostly innocent.". Therefore, it is not Muslims, in the general sense, or Islam, who are committing those atrocities, but some fanatics and haters.

4. Muslims culture is great, if you understand what culture is. It might have failed to some extent, but not overwhelmingly.

5. If you approach your culture from a different point of view, you will find that it is the failure; violence, moral decay, spiritual emptiness, etc. Tell me how many child is being molested every Minuit in the US, how many innocent is killed everyday, etc. The society is saturated with it. So, please, look yourself in the mirror before you get so carried away.

No more than any other religion. Look at Christianity in the Middle Ages and Renaissance. We brought the fight to the Muslims, who were just sitting there in their own land. They had no interest in fighting, until the Europeans invaded them.

The history of the Middle East is extremely intricate. I suggest you study it--esp. 20th century relations with the West.

Most Muslims are not fundies, just like most Christians aren't fundies. And considering Middle Eastern (although not Islamic) culture has been around since the West was still largely living nomadically and doing subsistence faming, I think there are things we can learn from them. The earliest civilization known to mankind was in modern-day Iraq. It was called "Ur". There is more than just this century to consider... Or Islam, for that matter.

Islam terrorists killed some 2700 people in the WTC. In retaliation, we protected ourself by attacking the nation that WASN"T responsible for it, and we've killed between 55 and 60 THOUSAND people! Who is doing the blood spattering?

And now, it seems we're getting ready to enter another nation. The danger to Islam isn't from inside, it's from our country. We have a president who'se just got a short time left and seems to want to achieve some goal before he's done. It's quite frightening.

Although they may be, the Quran does not preach self-destruction.

Take, for example, Sura 2:191: And slay them [the non-Muslim infidels] wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers."

The multitude of atrocities commited in the name of the Islam religion has done a lot of harm to their reputation. I am not saying all Muslims are doing these crimes, but the mere fact that in modern society such crimes being done in the name of their God does do a lot of damage to their reputation.

It's about 1400 years since Muhammad lived. 1400 years after Jesus Christians were killing each other all over Europe over variations in their cult beliefs. Perhaps this is just a phase cults go through once they achieve regional prominence.
