I am taking a holiday in Canada this year. I am hiring a RV and will drive for three weeks starting in Calgary - finishing in Vancouver. I plan to drive around the national parks and rockies. I need to find good listing of camping grounds in Alberta and BC. Any help??

If you have never RV'd in the Rockies, your in for a surprise and a good one at that. As for camp sites just wing it, you will find you can get in most places. Me, wife and to small ones started in Vancouver ended up at Calgary via route 99, we did this in 18 days and stayed in most places for 2 days. Visit Kamloops don't ask why! Because of the upcoming winter Olympics there is a lot of road works and most areas are being upgraded. If finishing in Vancouver there will be a change for one way trip with the RV company, try to stay in Stanley park for four or five days. Visit Vancouver Island it's stunning, Vancouver has the WOW facture and we could of stayed there for three weeks. Canada for us was a dream, the people very friendly and camping with an RV 29 footer easy just cruise the net for sites and as you will find loads of them. If not visit tourist information centres anywhere.

I grew up camping in BC Provincial parks. They have lots of camping in protected areas run by the provincial government. The settings tend to have more of a back to nature feel than most private campsites. It might be what you are looking for. If you get a small RV you shouldn't have much problem. But the trade off is many will have fewer services than most private sites. Don't expect a electrical hook up. I recommend checking out at least a couple.

the climate in Canada is extraordinarily floppy. oftentimes, British Colombia is extraordinarily heat for the time of summer season, the customary temperature for March is 13 C, or 40-one-fifty 5 F. by skill of March it may desire to be wet even though it extremely is going to no longer snow, good tires (wintry climate tire if obtainable) would be mandatory for mountain utilising. Calgary on the different hand (Alberta for that matter) it may desire to be sunny and 20 C or it may desire to be -20 C and snowy. although, the wintry climate hurricane are extraordinarily a lot long previous by skill of March. I even have seen 6 inches on snow in mid could and then 15 C 4 days later. Alberta has some wonderful campsites that an somewhat properly maintained. maximum tenting websites could have electric powered internet site which you would be able to plug your RV into, this won't waste your motor vehicle battery. because it extremely is going to die, in case you matter totally on your motor vehicle/vans battery. some RV's will use propane tanks for heating, subsequently you will could desire to get it re-filled. consistent with danger $25-40 for a area. extraordinarily much each and every camp sit down could have a area for filling up on clean water as properly as disposing waste water. finished performance is predicated on your motor vehicle. look at how many km/litre your motor vehicle gets and parent it out from there, including the greater effective weight out of your RV. My truck could value a lot to force that, its no longer very useful and value $a hundred and ten to replenish. i could say it extremely is going to value you $250 (small motor vehicle) to $450 (truck) one way. i could suggestion looking into particular camp websites (and e book the information superhighway sites), making helpful they have electric powered, waste/water, look at exciting issues to do, plan for the worst, and need for the terrific. attempt to think of of each and everything you're able to wish, like maps, emergency issues, heat clothing, and and so on.
