We have a family of Bald Eagles living on the river right outside of our home. I think about that question often when I see them out there. I watch them fly over the river and up the valley. They soar up over the mountains in the distance. I imagine I would want to be like them, just spreading my wings wide and soaring wherever I want to go. Sometimes they watch me too which I find curious. I would do that. I would watch people and animals go about their daily activities, I would fish when hungry and always be surrounded by my family. The eagles I'm talking about have three eaglets every year. They stay together most of the summer, the parents training and teaching their offspring. This year the unthinkable happened, someone killed one of the babies and left it on the rivers edge. The familly cried the most mournful cry for a week. Don't people realize that when you take the life of any any animal, human or otherwise you are taking the life of someones baby or brother or sister. I love our eagles, they are stately and beautiful. I would like to live the life they have, enjoying the beauty of all that surrounds them.

Whereever I'm at. My birds have entirely tooooo much fun with me. They've got their own tree, they get all the toys that a bird could want. They don't have to stay in their cages unless they want to be (most of the time). And, they get to go all the cool places I go.
My birds love me as much as I love them. It's a beautiful thing.
EDITED TO ADD: I just read the post about the Bald Eagles...HOW freakin' COOL!!! You are so lucky to be able to watch them in their natural habitat. My parents went out to Minnesota last year and there was a nest of them near the cabin that they stayed at. They brought back pictures of the babies and....LOL wow. You get my vote. What a cool story.

First I would fly as high as I could just to see what things would look like. I would try to do this at night because I always dream of flying in clouds during full moon.
