If it ever becomes necessary, absolutely and without hesitation. We are not at that point yet, but people in the Middle East need to WAKE UP and see that their biggest problems are being caused by their own leaders and not the U.S.

And what will this achieve? Ok, you'll have killed a lot of people, and probably the ayatollah and Ahmedinejad too. You'll have wiped out any economic and political stability in Iran for maybe 20 years. And what else? You'll have made the 20 million odd other people in Iran, and countless expatriots into potential suicide bombers. Can you IMAGINE what they could be capable of? If 2000 or so got through to the US imagine 2000 suicide bombs going off, in New York, Chicago, Washington, LA - it would be carnage.

Iran has a lot of friends, most importantly Russia. It is not wise to annoy the Russian bear, and killing millions of their allies would certainly do that. Many other muslim countries would be equally insensed, Iraq would collapse, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon - all of these would attack US troops in Iraq and almost certainly declare war on Israel. The people of Iran do NOT like Ahmedinejad's gung-ho attitude, even one of the very highest clerics in Iran has said that provoking the enemy (i.e. the US) is a very stupid thing to do.
