Because we're human, just remember that it all fades over time. Be strong, enjoy your memories and move forward, let your memories stay memories don't try to live in the past. This your opportunity to try again and find someone that will last.

I went through this a couple of years ago. If they were really special no matter what that person is ALWAYS going to be in the back of your mind. Mine is. Hopefully you don't go through the let's catch a movie as "just friends" phase. That is just putting salt in the wound. I did this for about six months after we broke up and it went both ways. I guess we were in a comfort zone or something. Find something else to do.

If you broke it off correctly than that person would still be in your life as a good friend. Lifes to short to discard anyone out of our life. We all want to be love and cared for even the strongest of men. It's so important to think how would you feel in the same situation, and how cold it have been done so as not to hurt so bad.

Your whole life gets flipped upside down. You have to make new rituals, you have to make a whole new life. It's almost like starting over again. It does hurt but it eventually passes. Sometimes you have to let people go to grow. Its all apart of life!

because you gave part of yourself to that person with love, and received part of them too. When it is gone, you feel the loss- almost as if you are turned inside out or naked. I agree, it hurts so much.

it hurts because you know your life is about to change, it might be good, it might be bad, but change is scary and your body can physically react to this.
