there are bits and peices in all of the answers, but to put them al in one it is as follows:

Horse power Busch 600hp Cup 800hp
Weight Busch 3100lbs Cup 3150lbs
Wheel base Busch 108" Cup 110"

Those are the basics, however there are more differences in car designs and templets as well.

Busch Series racing used to be the last stepping stone (pay your dues in the "minor league") in stock car racing before you could race with the big boys in Winston (now Nextel) Cup. Now if you have the $$ and the sponsorship you can hop right into a Nextel cup car. (and of course the racing license)

the huge difference i recognize is that some thing to do with the wheel base and then the autos are wider, and also what Dale Jr. fan stated, and they have a lot less horsepower. The CUP drivers in many cases compete contained in the Busch sequence races and each and every thing as well and that i imagine that the autos are also heavier, and they have extra downforce which makes them turn extra effective.. you extra often than not right here Cup drivers complaining about no longer sufficient downforce and each and every thing and how the autos wont turn surprisingly contained in the recent COT.

Size, Weight, Spoiler, Plates size at super speedways, Engine Power, length of the race, amount of tires you can use in a race (Busch has x number of sets, normaly 3-4 sets, while Nextel cup has unlimited tires) test sessions, and pit crews...

the nextel cup is the big dogs that are experienced. and the busch is the up comers that are trying to make it big and not as experienced. but some of the experienced like (kevin harvick) race in the busch. he won the busch cup last year. but they dont race everytime. he came very close to breaking the record for the most wins in the busch cup. he was one away.
