I would think in a state like Florida, there has got to be a lot of demand in the field. Have you contacted all the major players? Progressive, State Farm, Allstate, Farmers and Citizens.

Check all the major insurance companies websites a lot of them will take you in and train you especially if you have a degree and with a license you have a step up, not all companies require experience. Good Luck.I have a 2-20 General Lines License for Florida and I work as a Claims Adjuster. With the 2-20 I am able to work as an adjuster or an Agent. There are some intern positions available with companies for people like you and they are salaried positions not commissions.

I recently received my 2-20 license. During the cram session someone asked about the adjuster's license, and the instructor said that in order to begin adjusting, you need to work as an apprentice to an adjuster for one year before you can work on your own.

If you still have your adjuster's manual, there should be more details there, or you can contact the Florida Dept. of Financial Service: http://www.fldfs.com/

Good luck.

you need to go to a small, independent, adjusting firm, and ask them to take you on. It will likely be straight commission for a few years, until you get some experience under your belt.

Put your resume on some job posting sights. Sure, experience will always trump no experience, but you got to start somewhere.
