Child support is based on a percentage of your gross income. But since the child and the mother are living with you, don't have to worry about child support. Oh, by the way it's no such thing as common law marriage. It was band in the 1950s. So in other words, you are just living together without any protection for her in the event that something happens to you. She will get nothing but what is allow for the child.

Not sure if each state is different but it's about 22% of your income in Texas in addition to providing medical and dental insurance for your kids. If insurance is not available through your job for your kids then the state will provide medical(Medicaid, etc.) and charge for it. My son's father went through that and they charged him $65 a month for Medicaid coverage in addition to the $300 of support. I'm married now and it's STILL my son's father's responsibility to provide the support and insurance according to the Attorney General. It varies though I suspect from state to state.

each state varies, check on the Internet. Child support is just math, there is a form that can help you calculate it. It depends on both parties income and how much is costs to raise a child on those incomes. I would look up your state guidelines.

its usually 14% of your income monthly plus insurance on the child. It sucks but thats the way it is unless you want to go to jail.My husband pays his bit#ch ex wife 350.00 a month and she pays her credit card payments with it.Thank god his insurance turned down his daughter because she had reacurring sickness.I don't think we could afford to pay her anymore....
