Shortly after Shawn Hornbeck was kidnapped, his family was on the Montel Williams Show with Sylvia Browne. She told them that he had been kidnapped by a hispanic man named Michael who had dreadlocks. She told them that their son was dead, and his body could be found in a wooded area between two boulders. The only part of this entire thing that was correct was the kidnapper's name, and "Michael" has been the most popular name for boys for the past fifty years.

I heard the same story. Sylvia Browne is a fake, like all so-called psychics. The great Magician and Escape Artist, Harry Houdini, spent the last years of his life debunking psychics, and when he knew he was dying, he swore to his wife that IF IT WAS POSSIBLE to come back with a message, he would DO IT. Ten years later, she gave up on trying to receive this message from his ghost (?), and retired from public life. Seems that only God really knows what happens when we die...

These scam artists are sickening - taking advantage of desperate, grieving parents for profit. Maybe she believes she has this "gift", but I'm sure other types of scoundrels (I love that word!) also justify what they do. Their effect on their victims just doesn't matter to them tsk-tsk.

I dunno, but I think Sylvia is just someone who gets hunches by looking at all the stuff in the media, and then she thinks she's psychic. Everytthing she says you can see for yourself somewhere on TV
