Nightlife-- Without a doubt it would be Oahu in the Waikiki area. However, outside of that it is not all that great of a place.
However, to get a good mix of nightlife and snorkeling I would go with the West Coast of Maui in the Lahaina Area. They have it all over there. Great beaches, nightlife, incredible snorkling in the area, and great mountains.
