LOOK AT ME! I'm singing on TV!! It's been said she sounds like a cat with its tail caught under a rocking chair! That says it all. She acts like she knows what she's doing and it does look like she's enjoying herself. Why she won't share the mic with a better singer is the question. You'd think she would want the music to be higher quality.

I am with you in that I prefer a man to lead the church. I am on the fence (as I've never really searched it out) about what God thinks. I just know that I prefer it when a man is the pastor because I do feel that men are to be the leaders in the body of Christ. I know there are many women fully capable of doing the job, but I don't feel it is their role. I don't think God's direction for man to be the head has anything to do with qualification or one being better than the other. In my church, the pastor's wife will often teach / preach to the congregation, but the way that was explained was that her husband "covered" her to do so. She was teaching under his spiritual covering, so that was ok. I have also been taught that Paul was speaking to a specific audience, a people with uneducated women who were seated away from their husbands and calling out across the room with their questions. who knows? I'm no expert.

I think that she can sing better than a lot of people. She seems to have a country style in some of the songs that she sings. I forget which female singer slides up to notes as she does. I think that Doc liked the way she sang, and maybe encouraged that style of singing. But that is just a guess.

So long as she enjoys herself on stage, its all good. Cuz thats what singing really is. Enjoying yourself. And getting money from wrich white Christians trying to buy their way into heaven.

It's all entertainment, so what difference does it make if she can't sing? She can't preach either.

I like it when she sings. She may not be the next American Idol, but she is not trying to be... nor should we attempt the judge her voice quality as such. She is singing to praise the Lord... not impress Him.

It's coyote ugly. Maybe she's teaching her audience to endure pain and sacrifice having to sit and listen to it.

If she's such a great singer, it's "American Idol" season right now. She should have tried out.
