Wikipedia improves with time and new opinions and data.
The bible is as messed up and flawed now as it was 1700 years ago.

Wikipedia seems to have a good balance with it's information.
Since the Bible has been translated in English, I would only use the Douay Rheims Latin Vulgate.
Catholics believe
That the New Testament came after the Church;
That the Church did not come after the New Testament.
That before a line of the New Testament was written:
Christ established his Church;
The Apostles preached Christ and Him crucified;
St. Peter converted 3,000 Jews;
The Council of Jerusalem assembled;
The Jewish law was abrogated.
That before the last Book of the NewTestament was written:
The Catholic Church had celebrated her golden jubilee;
The faith of Christ had been "proclaimed all over (the then known) world" (Rom. 1:8).
Eleven of the twelve Apostles had died.
Both the Bible and Wikipedia are sources in seeking knowledge.
One cannot have God for his Father, who will not have the Church for his Mother, and likewise, one cannot have the Word of God for his faith who will not have the Church for his teacher. It is the infallible teaching authority of the Church, as promised by Christ, which alone preserves God's Word from erroneous interpretation.

Neither one is perfect, but at least Wikipedia gets updated as new information comes along, errors get deleted, it can answer a much wider range of questions than the Bible, its sources can easily be verified and it's pretty much objective.

There is no knowledge in that which refuses to reflect upon itself, and change. The bible is locked in the grip of prehistoric myth. Wikipedia, for all its faults, is self-correcting and accounts constantly for new information. If the Bible was like wikipedia, it would be hard to see how wicked people could use it to justify the bad actions many of them do.

Wiki-- can be changed by anyone at any time to say anything. Try it and see.
Your change may get changed, though. There was a UC Berkley professor that disdained to post things on Wiki-- that he knew to be wrong, just to see how long it would stay. His errors were corrected in less than 12 hours.
