Is it possible to paint a white plastic curtain rail to match the wall colour and still have the curtains opening and closing properly?

The best disguise is a fake moustache and dark sunglasses. They can be duct taped to the curtain rail.

Actually, Krylon makes a good paint for plastics called "Fusion" (i thimk) It is available at hardware stores or Home Despot or Loowes.

Yes, you can paint it, but it requires a special paint or it will rub off eventually. I dont suggest spray paint because who can find spraypaint to match the walls unless they are white or black. Check your local hardware store for a primer made for plastic and then you can paint it your wall color.

For sure it's possible but the paint will wear off and/or the curtain hangers leave marks on the rod over time... once you paint it you'll have to keep up with it...
